Drake is a Canadian rapper, songwriter and actor. Drake was born on October 24, 1988 to Sandi Graham and Dennis Graham. Two of his uncles are also musicians. His parents divorced when he was five years old and he was raised by his mother in two neighborhoods. Drake dropped out of high school, though he graduated years later in October 2012. At age 15, he met an agent, the father of a high school friend and the agent found him the role of Jimmy Brooks on Degrassi: The Next Generation. He appeared on the series until 2009, when his character graduated from high school.

He self-released his first mixtape in 2006, titled Room For Improvement. He released another mixtape, Comeback Season, the following year and in 2008, Lil Wayne was given some of Drake's music from Rap-A-Lot founder J. Prince's son, Jas Prince, and he immediately called Drake to fly to Houston and tour with him. On April 29, 2010, it was announced Drake had completed Thank Me Later. He announced the album's completion to a crowd during his show at the University of Missouri in Kansas City on April 26, 2010.[1]

His second studio album, Take Care, was announced on November 17, 2010.[2] Though initially scheduled to be released in October 2011, it was delayed until November of that year.[3] He has said Aaliyah has had the biggest impact on his career and has a tattoo of her on him. He and Aaliyah are featured on the song "Enough Said".

In July 2014, he stated that his fourth album would be named Views From The 6 despite having not begun recording it.[4]
